He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard L. Edwards Sr. and Ada C. Miles; and his sisters, Mabel Brooks, Mary May and Louise Covey.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Edwards; his daughter Shelby Hagedorn (Kent); his stepchildren, Thomas Farthing (Valerie) and Diane Crowson (Pat); his grandchildren, Greg, Melissa, Nathan, Alex Bush, Amanda Stauffer, Matthew Hagedorn and Jessica Dehart; his sister Juanita Bryan; his niece Dianne Klop; and his pet Charlie Brown. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
