He is survived by: his wife Ellen Ellett; his sons, Scott Ellett (Kim) and Doug Ellett (Helen); his grandchildren, Brittney Ellett, Jordan Ellett, Kelsey Ellett and Bo Douglas Ellett; and his sister Carolyn Nash (Rod). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henrico High School Athletic Hall of Fame, 302 Azalea Ave, Richmond, VA 23227.
