It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frederick Allen Dearhart Sr. of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 3, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Emily Helms. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Carroll (Craig), Frederick Dearhart Jr. (Laura), Molly Overstreet (Michael) and Andrew Dearhart (Amanda); his grandchildren, Erick Dearhart, Kensington Carroll, Carson Carroll, Daniel Dearhart and Lucy Overstreet; his siblings, Emily Leiffer, Michael Dearhart (Gail) and Cricket Dillard (Bruce); and his sister-in-law Cena Helms. He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
