He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Brunel and Rosalie Brunel. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Courtney Brunel; his son Michael Gregory Brunel; and his brothers, Pierre Brunel of Oklahoma and Bob Brunel of New York. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory should be made to East Hanover Rescue Squad.
