Florence Gunn Goolsby Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2023, at the age of 95, Florence Gunn Goolsby (Mechanicsville, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Gunn and Emma Rilee Gunn; and her husband Paul Carter Goolsby, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Phillips, Patricia Patten (Paul), Carter Goolsby (Judith) and Brian Goolsby (Julie); her grandchildren, Amy Daniels (Tim), Scott Patten, Michael Patten (Jamie), Megan Hines (Brian), Stuart Phillips, David Phillips (Alice), Alex Goolsby (Hannah), Rachel Carson (Chris), Michael Goolsby (Katie), Emily Goolsby and Tanner Goolsby; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett, Ellie, Olive, Levi, Jane, Teddy and Kennedy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
