She was predeceased by: her husband Steven A. Kochel; and her son Josh Kochel. She is survived by: her sons, Brent Kochel (Tammy) and Jason Kochel (Desiree); and her daughter-in-law Aida Kochel. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
