It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Garnett Whipple of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bud Whipple; her parents, Callie Garnett and Ida Garnett; and her siblings, N. C., Wilson, Harry, J. C. "PeeWee" Garnett, Virginia Garnett, Emma "Spot" Sawyer, Charlotte Garnett, Tracy "Dot" Putzee and Jane Seward.
She is survived by: her son Buddy Whipple (Joan); her grandchildren, Ben Whipple (Glenda) and Stacy Whipple (Tom); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Katheryn Whipple, Grayson and Garrett Dill; her sister Shirley Blair Carter (Tom) of Texas; and her stepgranddaughters, Angie Corbin (Blake) and Carrie Corbin (Nick). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
