He is survived by: his significant other Jean Marie Alvis; his brother John Shiflett; his niece Regina Shiflett; and his children, Robert W. Rice (Debby), Gina Millbrook (Cliff), Stacy, Tina, Chris and Joey Alvis. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
