It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Leslie Simmons Sr. of Mechanicsville, Virginia, who passed away on November 17, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret C. Simmons and Frank L. Simmons; and his grandson Travis Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Donald L. Simmons, Jr. (Judy), Deborah L. Simmons, Christopher W. Simmons (Regina) and Kimberly A. Lewis (Andrew); his grandchildren, Scott Simmons (Mendy), Elise Blackburn (Will), Tara Johnson (Brady), Rachel Newcomb (Adam), Stephan Simmons (Taylor), Shelby Pearson (Keaton), Jessica Brown (Ethan), Christophe Simmons (Savannah) and Will Lewis (Mackenzie); and his brothers, Jerry Simmons (Courtney) and Greg Simmons. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
