She is survived by: her husband Lewis H. Newell Jr.; her daughter Tracy Gilbreath (Bill); her granddaughter Christine; and her siblings, Samuel Moody Jr. (Beverly) and Linda Crowe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
