She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl William and Mary Catherine Frush Herbert; and her brother Victor. She is survived by: her husband Donald Lewis Dodson; her daughters, Catherine (Jay), Emma Lantz of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Anne (Rick) and Jenna Grace Adkins of North Chesterfield, Virginia.; her siblings, Joann Schnebly of Hagerstown, Laura Herbert of Hagerstown, Linda Turner of Hagerstown, William, John, Roland and Richard; and her niece Sally Levi of Berryville.
In lieu of flowers, Betty requested that donations be made to the Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church Capital Campaign, or to Bon Secours Hospice Services of Richmond, Virginia.
