She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Courtney and Margaret Courtney; and her son Travis Via. She is survived by: her husband Edward N. Barnette, Jr.; her siblings, Sonny Courtney (Ruth) and Linda Anderson (Jimmy); her son Justin Via (Sarah); her stepchildren, Troy (Kristie), Joshua and Tiffany Barnette; her grandchildren, Tyler, Carter, Trevor, Bryleigh, Willow and Naomi; and her nieces, Angel Carroll (Anthony), Brooke Thompson, Kelly Addison and Casey Bowles (Steven). She is also survived by six great-nieces and nephews.
