She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Gibson and Alice Hawthorn; her grandsons, Mark Shope and Brian "Nick" Mallory; and her children-in-law, Margaret Martin, James Brooks and Michael Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Edward "Bucky" L. Shope, Jr.; her children, Edward L. Shope, III (Lynn), Timothy K. Shope (Debbie), Tammy S. Brooks, Debra S. Mallory and Sherry S. Heinly (Jason); her grandchildren, Kenny, Steven (Mary), Jared (Lisa), Kemper (Jessica), Scott, Chelsi (Ariel), Keith (Tiffany), Adam (Adrienne), Joshua and Cole; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Cole and Waylon.
