It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice S. Vencill (Mechanicsville, Virginia), born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on September 29, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard L. Sutherland, Sr. and Nellie M. Sutherland; and her brothers, Roger L. Sutherland and Jerry W. Sutherland. She is survived by: her husband Robert M. Vencill; her daughters, Lisa Owens (Emmitt), Kimberly Helie (Mike) and Karen Capehart (Chris); her grandchildren, Hannah Traylor, Kaitlyn Owens, Courtney Owens and Brody Bonesteel; and her siblings, Nellie "Liz" Noel, Bonnie Stevenson, Linda Waddell (George), Wanda "Sue" Ervine and Howard Sutherland, Jr.. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and 22 nieces and nephews.
