Jean Venable Childress Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Jean Venable Childress of Meadows of Dan, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd C. Venable and Carrie Sidden Venable; and her husband Rev. Robert "Bob" Childress, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Philip Childress (Ann), Stewart Childress (Vickie), Robert "Chip" Childress, III (Cher) and Chris Childress (Dawn); and her sister Patricia Venable Giles (Ed). She is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 4 great-granddaughters, 3 great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be grateful for donations made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the ASPCA or the Bluemont Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
