He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Karpf and Mary Karpf (Bodie); his son Christopher; and his siblings, LaVerne, Calvin, Larry, Arthur, David, Joseph and Martha Edquist.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Karpf (LaPointe); his children, Thomas Karpf, Elizabeth Saede and James Karpf; his siblings, Dwight, Donald and Barbara Wetterau; his grandchildren, Christopher Pedemonti, Michelle Wienner, Nicholas Pedemonti, Heather Dydzak, Alex Szewczwk, Desiree Pedemonti-Byrne, Adam Karpf, Bernadette Karpf and Nicolas Karpf; his great grandchildren, Grace Bagley, Carver Pedemonti, James Wienner, Rilyn Byrne and Amelia Dydzak; and also, Jeanine Webb and Diana Pedemonti. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
