He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Vernon and Katherine Louise Griggs; his daughters, Mary Katherine Rutherford (John) of Annandale and Meredith Klein (James) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Jason Rutherford (Megan), Meredith Rhinehart (Randy), Annie Headrick (Paul), Marybeth Klein, Katherine Klein, Sarah Klein and John Klein; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Rhinehart and Peter Headrick.

“Dear Griggs Family, I first met Earl when I began attending what was then the Community Bible Study that was held on Monday evenings at Trinity. He always came into the Fellowship Building with a smile on his face and a greeting for everyone. He was always so kind and encouraging and his love of Jesus and his faith shown in his face and actions. My prayers are with your family and may our Lord give you comfort and His peace in your grief.
