He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Moore Dowley and Michael F. Dowley; his parents-in-law, Jean L. Walsh and James A. Walsh; and his brother-in-law William Jeffries.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Walsh Dowley; his children, Kristin Dowley Skelton (Greg), Michael Dowley and Patricia Dowley Sullivan (Sean); his grandchildren, Connor Skelton, Charlotte Skelton, Flynn Skelton, Molly Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan and Lucy Sullivan; and his siblings, Patricia Jeffries, Michael Dowley (Sandy), Charlotte LaFemina, John Dowley (Carol) and Mary Haug (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
