It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Sharkey (McLean, Virginia), who passed away on September 6, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cheryl Atkinson; his son John R. Sharkey; his parents, Stan Sharkey and Donna Sharkey; and his brother Steven Sharkey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Trust for Historic Preservation or the Animal Welfare League of Arlington Virginia.
