It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian (Vid) Laurette Thompson (McKenney, Virginia), who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Sharon Thompson, Steven Thompson of LaCrosse, VA and Darren Germantown, MD (Joel); her grandchild Sidney Thompson of Richmond, VA; her sons, J'Mirah Simmons of South Hill, VA, Courtney and Kaitlan Shepard; her great grandchildren, Korri and Kinsley Thompson of Virginia Beach, VA; her sisters, Barbara T. Reese of Victoria, VA, Jean T. Shipman of Oxford, GA and Robbie T. Rogers of Raleigh, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Thomas, Doris Thomas, Minnie Thompson, Eunice Logan, Deloris Langhorne and Walter Thompson. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
