He is survived by: his wife Carrie B. Maitland; his children, Betty Perkinson (Allen Finch), Robert L. Maitland IV (Debbie) and Cindy Townsend (Ryan); his grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Amanda, Morgan, Kailee, Rebecca, Michael, Courtney, Peanut and Lisa; his great grandchildren, Skyler, Maddie and Jaxson; his siblings, Rufus Maitland, Mary Ann Dawson (Herbert), Ruby Myers, Shirley Winkler, Lidie Cottee (Ross) and Sally Petric; his siblings-in-law, Rufus Bishop and Virginia Williams (Jake); and his close friends, Gloria Neville and Bryant Neville. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
