He was predeceased by: his parent William Henry; and his daughter Nancy Lightfoot Patterson. He is survived by: his parent Murt Heartwell Patterson; his spouse Martha Jones Patterson; his siblings, Ruby Lee Patterson Weber and William Henry Patterson, Jr.; his sons, Joseph Rody Patterson, Jr. of Rockmart, GA. and Wayland Heartwell Patterson (Glenda) of Panama City, FL; and his grandsons, Seth A. Patterson and Noah A. Patterson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
