He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Gede and Bessie Gede; his former wife Joy Tanis Gede; his children, Joanne Gede and Stephen Gede; his stepson Blakley Hubbard; and his brothers, Robert, Jack and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Lola K. Gede; his children, Christopher D. Gede (Ellen) of Bowie Maryland and Donna Garrett (Steve) of Richmond, Virginia; his grandson Christopher F. Gede; his siblings, James Gede (Mary) and Betty Willis; his stepson Anthony Hubbard (Mary); his stepdaughter-in-law Marie Baugh (Kim); his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Hubbard (Tess), Jennifer Clary, Erin Hubbard, Christin Litchfield (Trey) and Ryan Hubbard; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Blakely Clary, Nathan Hubbard, Caleb Litchfield and Tristin Litchfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
