It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Evonne Mallory Sparkes of McKenney, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dwayne Sparkes; her parents, Alice Mallory and Channing Mallory Sr.; and her sister Sheila Forbes. She is survived by: her mother-in-law Elaine Mcintosh; her stepson Gregory Marsh; her siblings, Alice Parham, Lewis Mallory (Rosalyn), Barbara Mallory, Lillian Mallory, Erma Wyatt (Keith), Channing Mallory Jr., Douglas Hall, Brenda Bailey, Tracy Hall and Janet Jones (Rodney); and her sister-in-law Rochelle Daire. She is also survived by the third child of 12 siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Higherway Ministries (515 Virginia Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803).
