She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton Townsend, Sr.; her mother Thelma Wainwright; her siblings, James Ray Gibbs and Anne Austin; and her great grandchild Easton Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Carlton Townsend, Jr. (Jill), Carol Anne Parker (Robert Lynch) and David Townsend; her stepfather Jack Wainwright; her grandchildren, Dustin, Carly Townsend, Timmy Parker, Michelle Kelly (Ethan), Mary, Brittany and Samantha Townsend; her siblings, Bill Gibbs (Janet) and Sandy Harver; and her close friend Ellen Ozmore. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, many friends.
The family requests, donations be made to the church in Betty's memory.
