He was predeceased by: his father Charles Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Charlton Thompson; his wife Judy Guinn; his children, Angela (William), Melanie (Montana) and David (Casey Thompson); his grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Emily, Christopher, Gabriel, Brianna, Natalie, Graham and Heidi; his great grandchild Hunter; and his siblings, Gary (Cyndie Thompson) and Jennifer Taylor. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Brethren Church, 149 Turkey Knob Road, Quicksburg, VA 22847.
