He is survived by: his children, Gilbert "Lee" Smith, II (Mary) of Mt. Crawford and C. Yvonne Miller (Brad) of Mt. Crawford; his granddaughter Carrie Miller; his sisters, Virginia Simmons of McGaheysville and Mary Margaret Bright of Front Royal; and his close friend Ethel Hammer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
