He was predeceased by: his father Teobaldo Meza; his daughter Lilian Meza; and his brother Claudio Meza. He is survived by: his wife Marta Fidalgo De Meza; and his children, Ximena Killen (E. B. Miller), Marisa O. Medina (Neftali), Rodrigo Olguin (Johana), Alvaro Olguin (Jean) and Alejandro Olguin (Veronica). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and numerous extended families.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McGaheysville Rescue Squad 80 Stover Dr, McGaheysville, VA 22840.
