It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Smith of McDowell, Virginia, born in Gaithersburg, Maryland, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph James and Pearl Irene Hayward (Vanhouten); and her spouse Garner Emerson Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Carole Jean Smith of Glen Allen; and her sister Patricia Ann Gordon (Hayward) of Jackson, TN..
