She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Harry and Argyle Grace Nicholas (Arbogast); her former husband Glenn V. Smith; her sister Lorraine "Tiny" Hooke; and her stepdaughter Carolyn Howe.
She is survived by: her nephews, George W. Hooke, III (Beatrice) of Monterey, John W. Hooke (Patricia) of Ozark, MO, Randolph T. Hooke (Nancy) of Staunton and Jerry L. Hooke (Patricia) of Monterey. She is also survived by five great-nephews; as well as three great-great nieces and two great-great nephews.
