It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Colaw (McDowell, Virginia), born in Blue Grass, Virginia, who passed away on September 25, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Colaw and Virgie Belle Colaw (Swecker); his son J. D. Colaw; and his siblings, Rebecca "Becky" Ann Hull, Virginia "Ginny" Curry, Mary "Mug" Margaret Ruddick, Dorothy "Dot" Jean Shepherd, Paul, Wayne Edward, Cyrus D. and George "Goog" Colaw.
He is survived by: his wife Christene Colaw (Terry); his children, John Michael "Mike" Colaw (Donna) of Warm Springs, Terry Colaw Kershner (John) of Hot Springs, David Kirk Colaw (Sonia) of Big Valley, Jody Daniel Colaw and Landon Vaught of Monterey; his grandchildren, Michael Scott Colaw (Sarah), John Gentry Kershner, Donna Michelle Colaw, Graham McDow Kershner, Parke Colaw Kershner, Mikayla Grace Woodzell (Christian) and Dawson Lee Colaw; his great grandchild Bradley Michael Colaw; and his sister-in-law Frances Terry of Monterey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
