With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Gene Hughes of Max Meadows, Virginia, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on February 9, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hughes and Trula Hughes. He is survived by: his nephew Joshua Hughes; his wife Nancy Hughes of Max Meadows; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Kevin Matthews of Max Meadows; his son Brad; his daughter-in-law Heather Hughes of Max Meadows; his siblings, Steve and Juanita Hughes of Elon, NC; his grandchildren, Lynsey Phillippi, Reed Phillippi, Greyson, Sydney Hughes, Aubrey Hughes, Mallaury Hughes and Ella Hughes; and his stepgrandchildren, Emma and Gray Matthews. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and cousins.
