It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Orval Phillips of Max Meadows, Virginia, born in Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on November 3, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Holly Orval and Nadene McCoy Phillips; and his brother Leo Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Janey Mabe Phillips; his daughter Yonda; his son-in-law Craig Basford; his sons, Jack Lane and Tony (Laura Jo Phillips); and his sisters, Justine Ramsey and Jackie Bianco. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
