He was predeceased by: his grandchild Baby McGee. He is survived by: his daughter Beth; his son-in-law Mike McGee of Max Meadows; his son Robert Pendleton; his daughter-in-law Tiffani Lyons of Max Meadows; his grandchildren, Emma, Elliott McGee and Noah Pendleton Lyons; his parents, James Pendleton Sr. and Annie Lois Lyons of Newbern; his siblings, Robin Gayle Lyons and Steven; his sister-in-law Lala Lyons of Max Meadows; his parents-in-law, C. R. and Betty Taylor of Max Meadows; his siblings-in-law, Jeff Taylor of Roanoke, Michele (Greg Campbell) of Austinville and Tonya McPeak Taylor of Roanoke; and his close friend Carolynn Meadows of Little Creek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
