He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Walta and Frieda Walta; his siblings, Joachim Walta and Christa Schuetz; and his granddaughter Casey Walta.
He is survived by: his wife Ursula Schulze Walta; his son Andy; his daughter-in-law Rochelle Walta of Walkersville, MD; his daughter Isabel; his son-in-law Gary Kirby of Max Meadows; his daughter Michelle Schreider of Max Meadows; and his grandchildren, Jackie Wade, Randi Hackler, Alex Schreider and Hanna Barker. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
