It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hobert Wayne Sheets of Max Meadows, Virginia, born in Burkes Garden, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leslie Sheets and Maggie Baumgardner Sheets; his wife Jean Conley Sheets; and his sisters, Helen Blankenship (Sidney) and Gussie Clayborn (Bas).
He is survived by: his children, Robert Sheets (Billie) of Woodlawn, VA, Roger Sheets (Betty) of Bastian, VA and Christine Thompson (Michael S.) of Max Meadows; his grandchildren, Patrick Stowers, Lisa, Terry Beavers, Keith Sheets, James Sheets, Alison and John Kirby; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Beavers, Sidney Hellen Stowers, Austin Kirby, Joey Thompson, Jaks Thompson and Branson Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
