It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eva Marie Houchins of Max Meadows, Virginia, born in Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Ray and Virgie Blankenship Ray; her husband Peery Raymond Houchins; her siblings, Cecil, Chester, Rufus, Bill Ray, Jean Jackson, Bonnie Hill, Janice Richardson and Edith Hess; and her children, Michael Houchins and Debbie Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Russell, Jeanie Darrow (Tim), Elaine Flanary (Mitch), Georgia Shepherd, Danny Houchins (Brenda) and Larry Houchins (Donna); and her son-in-law Gary Harvey. She is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
