It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Jewel Crockett of Max Meadows, Virginia, who passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Retha Williams; her husband Albert Charles Crockett; and her son Byron Durant. She is survived by: her son Kelvin Lee Crockett; her cousins, Cynthia, Lauren and Harper Love; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Crockett (Mable) of Austinville, VA, Archie Ray Crockett (Carolyn) of Appomattox, VA, Mable Nelsoen of Wytheville, VA, Shirley Watson of Washington, DC and Vera Crockett of Sterling Heights. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
