She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hicks and Lola Mullins Duncan; her husband Roscoe Henry Welch; and her siblings, Chestine Eller, Grady Hicks, Franklin Hicks and Billy Hicks.
She is survived by: her sons, Rickie Welch of Mavisdale, VA, Paul Welch (Liz) of Mavisdale, VA and Mark Counts (Susan); her grandchildren, Benji, Alex and Nick; her brother Gary Ray Hicks of Berwind, WV.; her grandson Connor Welch; and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Brown, Linda Farris, Doris Dillow and Donna Welch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shortridge Ramey Funeral Home of Oakwood (1020 Big Skeggs Road, Oakwood, VA 24631).
