He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick H. Thomas and Margaret Thomas Shumaker. He is survived by: his sisters, Deborah Dunivan Perez and Diane Thomas Atwell (Don); his nephews, Jamey Tolson (Wilma) and Ben Atwell (Kathleen); his niece Caitlin Atwell; and his friend Joe Beavers.
