It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Marie Bareford Cooke of Mattaponi, Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Burnley "Bunn" Cooke; her parents, Robert Bareford and Gertrude Bareford; and her siblings, Elsie Llewellyn, Louise Bareford, Hazel Elliott, Carter, Fred and Edward Bareford.
She is survived by: her sons, William B. "Bill" Cooke, Jr. (Rosanna) of Mathews and Michael L. Cooke of Mattaponi; her brother Robert Bareford, Jr.; her grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Cooke, Kendall Tayman (Joseph), William Cooke, III and Carter Cooke (Samantha); and her great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Dustyn, Brynna Tayman, Will, Nate and Addison Cooke.
