She was predeceased by: her husband John South; and her brothers, Lucas, Thomas Carlton and Ernest "Bubba" Thurston. She is survived by: her children, Wayne South (Margaret) and Marlene Vannoy; her siblings, Edna Waxmunski, Virginia Easter, Nita Bunting and Gene Thurston; and also Lillian.
