She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Shea; and her parents, Estelle Shawn of Virginia and Joseph Stanley Owens. She is survived by: her children, Dianne Hudgins (Ernie) of Port Haywood, VA, Rita Records (Bob) of Moon, VA, Gwendolyn Collins (Robert) of Ledyard, CT, Bill Gwynn of Warner Robins, GA and James Gwynn (Phyllis) of Gloucester, VA; and her stepchildren, Susan Shea of Hartford, CT and Michael Shea of Rocky Hill, CT.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
