She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Haywood and Irene White Haywood; her husband Junior Buchanan; and her siblings, Wilton, Thomas, Paul, Jesse, Frank, Arnold, Richard, Lillie May and Ellen.
She is survived by: her son John Craig Buchanan; her sister Martha Slaughter of Chesapeake, VA; and her close friends, Alvin, Audrey Knight and Suzanne Melin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
