She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Steuer and Jessie Steuer; her husband Marvin B. Armstead; her siblings, Maggie Stevens, Vernelle Foster, Nellie Foster and Elwood Steuer; and her son-in-law Stephen Brownley.

She is survived by: her daughter Violet Brownley; her granddaughter Katrina Ottinger (Jason); and her great grandchild Haven. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lower United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 98, Hartfield, VA.
