She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyndom Randolph "Rannie" Haynes and Hilda Milby Haynes; and her brothers, Wyndom and Sherwood Haynes. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Abrams; her daughters, Trinia Timberlake (Jerry) and Tracey Sorey (Robby); her grandchildren, Abigail Sorey, Jarett Timberlake and Emily Sorey; and her sisters-in-law, Kathryn Haynes and Barbara Crockett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Janet's name to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Virginia 23061.
