She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Young and Mary Young; her husband Frank W. Gilbert; and her sister Dr. Kathryn A. Schmeding. She is survived by: her brother Dr. Paul C. Young; her children, Laura Carr (Dabney), Scott Gilbert and Angie Miller; her grandchildren, Quint Carr, Peter Carr (Sophie), Sarah Carr, Nicholas Stump (Joanie) and Alex Miller (Tyler Hilling); and her great grandchildren, Carsen and Harlee Stump.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (320 Williams Wharf Rd, Mathews, VA 23109).
