He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bennett; his children, Angie Lanier (Anthony) of Martinsville, VA, Shawn Bennett (Sherry) of Martinsville, VA and Christopher Bennett (Mary) of Martinsburg, WVA; and his siblings, Lizzie Motley (Maxie) of Danville, VA, Shirley Thompson of Danville, VA, Agnes King of Danville, VA, Betty Garland of Blanche, NC, Jesse Bennett of Washington, DC and Lewis Bennett, Jr. (Peggy) of Danville, VA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
