It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Smith of Martinsville, Virginia, born in Meadows of Dan, Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Smith and Elizabeth Williams Smith; and his son Kevin Lee Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law Randall White of Bassett; his grandchildren, Justin Prillaman, Terrell Craddock (Lauren) and Sarah Shelton (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Ethan Hughes, Brooklyn Craddock and Alec Shelton; his brother Gene; his sister-in-law Kathy Smith of Danville; and his pets, Bear, Midnight, Rex and Connie Clifton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martinsville SPCA, 132 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, VA 24112.
