She was predeceased by: her parents, James C. Foster and Elsie Mae Rumley Foster; and her brother James Carnell Foster. She is survived by: her husband Harry Boyce; her children, Melessia Simon of Greensboro, NC and Andrew Patterson of Greensboro, NC; her siblings, Ruby Waller (Howard) of Axton, VA, Minister Clyde Foster (Aurelia) of Martinsville, VA and Edward Foster (Geneva) of Cascade, VA; and her caregiver Christa White of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hairston Funeral Home (301 Fayette St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Refuge Temple Ministries (205 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
